Rob Lalley is one of the three founders of the firm who left a larger firm in 1983. Their goal: to establish a practice that provides businesses and families with great professional service and cost effective solutions. Rob is the “generalist” of the firm, providing litigation and transaction support to a wide variety of individuals, families and businesses.

Rob was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated from Central Michigan University in 1970 and from law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1973. He has been very involved in bar association activities including service on several state and local bar committees. He has served as president of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, as well as the president of the Grand Rapids Bar Association family law section. He is a certified family law mediator with the Kent County Circuit Court.

Rob has a broad, general civil litigation practice with an emphasis in family law. He has enjoyed representing business and individual clients on a variety of matters involving divorce, custody, contract litigation, real estate, personal injury, family law issues and wills and trusts.
