Contact Carl
Carl Verspoor is one of the three founders of the firm who left a larger firm in 1983. Their goal: to establish a practice that provides businesses and families with great professional service and cost effective solutions. He is the seasoned counselor we all go to for advice. Carl’s father was also a Grand Rapids attorney, and Carl has his roots well established in West Michigan.

Carl graduated from Calvin College in 1965 and from Wayne State University Law School, magna cum laude, in 1968. Mr. Verspoor’s practice focuses on corporate law, business law and real estate transactions. He represents various small to medium size, closely held companies in their business transactions, and has enjoyed long lasting, solid relationships over the years with a large diversity of clients. His love of Civil War studies helps him negotiate even the hardest of business disputes.

Carl is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. He is a member and active participant in the Pro Bono Program of Western Michigan. Carl has three grown children, and several even a few grandchildren. He is also an active member and board member of his church and has served on the boards of many charitable organizations.
